TSCO Racing invades Parker AZ for the Best the Desert Parker 425 time trials.

The 2014 Best in the Desert Parker 425 Time Trials would host 75 unlimited race vehicles on Thursday, consisting of class 1400 Trick Trucks and class 1500 Unlimited Buggies.  The qualifying event would be a short loop to determine starting positions for the Saturday Race.  Vehicles would get one test lap to see the course, then would head out 1:30 apart starting in order by BITD Draw.  The TSCO Racing #9 of Mark and Ryan drew 11th, and the #98 of Gary and Justin would go from 48th.  The early draw would help the #9 truck, as the time trial course would steadily deteriorate as more vehicles blasted through the sandy corners, digging large ruts and holes.

Mark and Ryan would finish in 3:27.870 and start 11th for the Race.  Gary and Justin would end up 21st with a time of 3:34:283.

The Race was set and both Mark and Gary were convinced they could do well from their starting positions.  Mark felt good having some of the faster racers behind him, Gary was mixed in with a few Buggies but was confident. The Parker race is brutal and always has lots of racers dropping out early. The first lap always takes out a few good racers and the last lap is just as bad. The 400+ miles takes it’s toll on equipment and the drivers.

The TSCO Racing team heads to the Parker Show & Shine in downtown Parker where fans get to be up close to the drivers and race vehicles.
