TSCO Team ready to take on the SCORE Baja 500

The TSCO Team has two trucks entered in this year’s Score Baja 500.

Gary Weyhrich, and Stan Sgambelluri will race in the red and white #98, brother Mark & Ryan Williams will race the Gieser-1 #9 in flat grey.

TSCO tested it’s new T-1 truck throughout the week and hoped to have it entered in the race.  Cooling issues will keep it from debuting in Baja.

The trucks were tested and prepped for the time trials.

The Brothers and some of the crew spent the week prerunning with the Stewart’s Raceworks built luxury prerunners. It was was quite warm inland and the course was covered multiple times during the prerun.  It included all types of Baja terrain, from silty hills, fast roads, forests, rocky beaches, lake beds, and of course sand.

The 450 mile course would start in Ensenada, take 2 different crossover roads and go from inland, to coast , to inland, to desert floor, then back to the finish in Ensenada.

Time trials would be held on Thursday.

Gary and Stan would Qualify 19th in the #98, Mark and Ryan 22nd in the 9.  Both made mistakes during their runs and it would cost them positions.

The Crew would take the truck through the Score Tech and Contingency on Friday. Thousands for fans turn out for the event.

The trucks were put to bed, along with the drivers and crew, looking forward to the long race day ahead.
